best user friendly anti-virus/firewall  

First off i am NOT a computer genius and i am using Windows Xp.So far this is the best anti-virus software i have ever used!Even compared to the popular free AVG,the Norton 360 puts it to shame.Puts all anti virus software to shame and i have used most of the popular ones(no names mentioned).I do NOT have to use any supplemental software for spyware or anything else! Norton 360 does it all.This software is very user friendly,easy to set up(basically does everything itself)and easy to use.You basically dont really have to do anything when you install this software if you just a typical computer user/web surfer.Everything is automatic!!This thing just scans,updates,and backups automatically.It is awesome!I dont have to do anything but i can still do it manually from time to time to do more precise scanning.Even if you ever have a problem with the software,the software will actually fix itself!Yes i said fix itself!Clicking support at the top of the screen will link you to Norton support and the software will scan itself and fix itself if need be.Most of the settings this software has already comes set up the right way after installation.However if you need to tweek some of the configurations,its as simple as a "on/off" slide bar.Very user friendly.

Norton 360 Saved my Vaio Laptop

First off, I am no compuer wizard, but I would rate myself a reasonably savy computer user.
Last month, my Vaio laptop got a Trojan Horse viurs, although I was running McAffee. After removing the virus, the computer was still running crazy. I was getting blue screen messages, freezes, odd lines on the monitor, you name it. I restored the computer to new, and it still was not right. I bought the Norton 360, installed it and sat back.

This product worked perfectly. I had several computer systems that needed to be tossed or donated. I have used BC Wipe and other similar tools for electronic media sanitization before a friend recommended this product. I am glad he did.

The software comes with two discs. One disc is wrapped in a red CD sleeve. It is this CD that one must be careful of (red = warning). It is CLEARLY marked that if you insert this into the computer and reboot, it will ERASE your ENTIRE hard disk drive.

The book is good and well written. This is a good book for the exam and explains the concepts well, but you will need another such as the CompTia Sybex book. The Sybex book has diagrams that you will need and should be copied and memorized, such as the speeds of all fiber cables and what size laser lights pass through each different fiber cable.
